While mapping out Issue 3, we noticed a common thread that came from each of our featured artist’s submissions: an honest ethos, and a heartfelt love for the weddings that make their work possible.

That’s why we knew Sarena’s work from this wedding needed to be featured. Sarena’s eye for color and emotion are amplified by the community and welcoming experience she creates for her couples. We chatted about acceptance over connection, reworking artistic process within constraints, and finding laughter amidst the chaos.
